This year our legislature is conducting
the short session which bodes well for us as motorcycle
riders. The intent of this year’s session should
be to deal with financial matters only but one just
never knows what they can link to other bills and call
it germane. The good news is that of today there are
no motorcycle related issues on the horizon. The CMRA
will be keeping a watchful eye on our representatives
and senators.
The are two events coming up that are being run by the
CMRA and they are the annual Legislative Dinner to be
held at Aldarrio’s in Milford on February 23rd
from 7pm till midnight and our brand new CMRA Spring
Fling at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Wallingford
on March 29th also from 7pm till midnight. Both are
by advance tickets sales only. We need the support of
all Connecticut freedom loving riders at both of these
crucial events. For further information on directions
and purchasing tickets please go to the web site at
www.thecmra.com.
Also if anyone from Connecticut is interested
in participating in the Beast of the East in Boston
please contact me as soon as possible at rltroia@snet.net
so that we can formulate a plan. The dates are April
18-20.
On May 15th we would also like to send
a contingent up to Boston to assist our brothers and
sisters from the MMA with their annual “Storm
the Statehouse” event. For further information
you can check the web site at www.massmotorcycle.org.
If anyone is interested in riding up from Connecticut
you can again contact me to make arrangements. Think
of how nice it will be to ride all the way to Laconia
in total freedom!!
That’s it from Connecticut for this month.
Spring is right around the corner,
yeah right!!!
