GIVE CONSUMERS A VOICE!
SAVE SMALL BUSINESS!
ENSURE MOTORCYCLE SAFETY!

CO-SPONSOR THE BARCIA ACT!

State Motorcyclists' Rights Organizations nationwide join us in urging you to sign on as an original co-sponsor of "The Motorcycle and Motorcycling Small Business Protection Act."

Sponsored by Congressman Jim Barcia (D-MI), this Act cuts pollution in half but saves thousands of small businesses coast-to-coast by:

- Establishing a reasonable emissions standard for highway motorcycles that even the smallest of bike makers can meet, and

- Enabling motorcyclists to refine their machines to improve rideability and safety.

Just as important, this Act ensures that a catalyst-forcing standard is not imposed on motorcycles. Riders nationwide have urged the Environmental Protection Agency to take the safety problem seriously, but the Agency has brushed it aside as "not insurmountable." That means "capable of being passed over." Running in excess of 1,000 degrees, catalysers on bikes constitute a burn hazard and could impose a rideability problem. That spells: D A N G E R!

In the regulatory process, motorcycle consumers have spoken but our words carry no weight. That's why riders are asking you to co-sponsor the Barcia Act! Please call Congressman Barcia's office today!

Dozens of impacted small businesses in virtually every Congressional district in America - "custom shops" and the aftermarket - working Americans - are counting on you.

Thank you for choosing to Ride with the Leaders™ by co-sponsoring the Barcia Act!
