YOUNG ACTIVISTS' SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE RAPIDLY APPROACHING
Washington, D.C., June 26, 2009 —
MRF Awareness and Education, Inc. would
like to remind everyone that the Young Activist Scholarship applications
are due on July 15th. The YAS Scholarship was started five years ago with
the sole purpose of attracting the next generation of freedom fighters to
participate and learn at our annual Meeting of the Minds Conference.
If selected as a YAS winner, candidates
will receive a one-year membership
to the MRF as well as an expenses paid trip to the 2009 Meeting of Minds
Conference in Bloomington, MN from September 24-27th. While attending the
conference, winners will be asked to participate in a general session
which allows them and current members to participate in a open dialogue Q
& A forum.
In order to be considered for this
scholarship, candidates must be between
the ages of 18 and 30 years old, be in good standing with their SMRO and
have a valid motorcycle endorsement on their license. Along with these
basic guidelines, applicants must include an essay of a minimum of 300
words explaining why motorcycle rights are important to them. After
applications are reviewed by the YAS committee, the winning candidates
will be announced via an MRF e-mail news release in mid-August.
The YAS program is a wonderful opportunity
for the MRF to usher in the
next generation of riders who will be out there protecting everyone
rights. If you are not qualified yourself but know someone who is, we
encourage you to visit our website (www.mrfae.org) and download the
application. If you have any question or issues, you can contact the MRF
Awareness and Education for further information.
