#05NR18 - Short term extension passed for the Highway Bill

The U.S. Congress just passed another short term extension for the Highway Bill. The current extension expired at midnight, July 21st and Congress needed to pass an extension to continue to fund the nationís highway and mass transit programs.

This is tenth extension since the last highway bill expired almost two years ago. This extension funds the programs through Wednesday, July 27th.

Talks continue and sources close to the conference committee are positive work will be completed soon. The MRF will continue to keep you updated on this important legislation.
