#02-NR-15 - The MRF Office is Moving on Up!

On Wednesday, May 23, 2002 the Motorcycle Riders Foundation office will be moving to a new location, approximately four blocks from its current location. The MRF office will be located in a security building about a block from the Eastern Market (www.easternmarket.net), which is the last of Washington DC's 19th century open air markets to remain in continuous operation. The new office location is approximately six blocks from the Capitol Building and is easily accessible by Metro and close to numerous restaurants and shops in the picturesque Capitol Hill neighborhood. The new office is spacious and convenient for both the MRF staff and visitors and, as the MRF's Office Manager, Beverly Waters said, "We won't be in the basement any more! We have a first floor office with no steps, and it even has lots of windows and a small patio area!"

All mail for the MRF will continue to go to the same post office box (P.O. Box 1808, Washington, DC 20013) and the phone and fax numbers will remain the same. There will be a slight interruption in phone and e-mail service from Wednesday, May 22 through Tuesday, May 28, with regular phone and e-mail service resuming on Wednesday, May 29. Voice mail on the office number will be operational during that time and messages will be checked regularly, but Tom and Bev ask that you please only leave urgent messages during this transition. In addition, they will not be able to access e-mails from the office during this temporary interruption, but they will both be able to check their e-mails from home in the evenings.

We apologize for any inconvenience this move may cause our members, and we appreciate your patience. If you have something urgent that you need to discuss during the transition, please contact any of the other MRF officers or board members and we will be happy to assist you. Contact information for all MRF officers and board members can be found in the Officers/Directors section on the MRF web page (www.mrf.org/directors.php).
