The MRF has just completed two elections. Angel Burton-Rista of Michigan has won the position of State Motorcycle Rights Organization Liaison. This position is elected by the State Motorcyclists' Rights Organizations, SMRO's, as their direct representative on the MRF Board. Angel fills the seat last held by Chuc Coulter, of Idaho. Chuc has since moved to the position of Rider Education Coordinator. Angel's term is for two years.

The other election was for State Reps Liaison, won by Chris Maurich of Kansas. This position is designed to give the State Reps a direct link and a representative seat on the MRF Borad.Chris was running for the seat that was last held by Deb Buttita, Arizona. Deb has been appointed to fill the remainder of Buck Kittredge's term as the other SMRO Rep on the board. Buck was elected Vice-president of theMRF in September. Chris' term is also for two years.

The first motorcyclists' rights organization to establish a full-time legislative advocacy presence in Washington, the Motorcycle Riders Foundation is the only Washington voice devoted exclusively to the street rider. MRF established MRFPAC in the early 1990s to advocate the election of candidates who would champion the cause of rider safety and rider freedom. MRF proudly claims state motorcyclists' rights organizations and the very founders of the American rider rights movement among its leading members. Motorcyclists worldwide can thumb-start their search for rider rights and safety on the web at www.mrf.org.
