Effective Monday, September 17, 2001, the Washington, D.C. office of the Motorcycle Riders Foundation will reopen to serve the needs and protect the rights and freedoms of street riders.

Our members and allies should be aware that traffic in and around Washington, D.C. is still congested (beyond its normally congested level). Security perimeters have been enlarged, some streets have been and will continue to be closed without notice, and police patrols have increased. These factors will impact office operations to some degree, but we will persevere. We expect that enhanced security in the nation's capitol will be ever changing, in keeping with the "sustained campaign" that America and her allies will soon launch against the enemies of freedom worldwide. As these security measures impact our operations, we will keep you informed.

Again, the Motorcycle Riders Foundation extends to our brothers and sisters around the globe our heartfelt thanks for your many expressions of concern for us, solidarity with our cause, and sympathy for the victims, the rescuers, and the families and friends who suffer in the wake of the cowardly, vicious attack on the land of the free and the home of the brave. Most assuredly, the free and the brave will prevail. Together, we will vanquish freedom's foes and safeguard liberty in every land.

God Bless America,

Tom Pauley, President, and Tom Wyld, Vice President of Government Relations,
on behalf of the Board of Directors, Motorcycle Riders Foundation

- MRF: My Ride is Freedom -

The first motorcyclists' rights organization to establish a full-time legislative advocacy presence in Washington. The Motorcycle Riders Foundation is the only Washington voice devoted exclusively to the street rider. MRF established MRFPAC in the early 1990s to advocate the election of candidates who would champion the cause of rider safety and rider freedom. MRF proudly claims state motorcyclists' rights organizations and the very founders of the American rider rights movement among its leading members. Motorcyclists worldwide can thumb-start their search for rider rights and safety on the web at www.mrf.org.
