The Transportation Equity Act of the 21st Century will be reauthorized in 2003. In anticipation of this reauthorization, the Motorcycle Riders Foundation has adopted the following four initiatives with respect to the future of motorcycling in America.

MRF TEA-03 Initiative #1 - Strengthen the prohibition against use of appropriated funds by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to influence state and local legislation.

MRF TEA-03 Initiative #2 - Establish a "Motorcyclist Advisory Council" in the Immediate Office of the Administrator, Federal Highway Administration.

MRF TEA-03 Initiative #3 - Enhance motorcycle safety for the betterment of all road users.
